National Effort Empowers Healthcare Professionals to Help Prevent Firearm Injuries
This press release highlights a collaborative effort led by the American Medical Association (AMA), the Ad Council, and a coalition of healthcare leaders—including Aya Healthcare, parent company of Qualivis—to equip clinicians with tools and resources to have meaningful, nonjudgmental conversations about firearm safety with patients. Through the “Agree to Agree” campaign and a new digital resource hub at AgreeToAgree.org/HealthCare, the initiative empowers healthcare professionals to address firearm injury prevention with empathy and evidence-based guidance. By helping clinicians confidently integrate these discussions into routine care, the partnership aims to normalize firearm safety conversations, reduce preventable injuries, and support the shared goal of building safer, healthier communities across the nation.
